Welcome to the NEW Bipolar Network News (BNN)!

Dear Readers of the BNN.

We are sorry that our access to the BNN has changed from the former website bipolarnews.org to the new site bipolar-news.org.  The old site was suddenly taken offline about several months ago and we have not been able to get re-established because an unknown owner of the site wanted to remain anonymous.  We apologize for the absence of access and will try to make up for it with continued summarization of the latest literature and abstracts and presentations of psychiatric meetings by me, Robert M. Post, MD, as Chief Editor of the BNN.   I will also be available at Robert.postmd@gmail for scheduling one-time virtual consultations for difficult-to-treat children and adults with bipolar illness and depression.

With the splendid help of my wife Susan Post, brother-in-law Shannon Range, and Assistant Editor Sebastian Nair from Virginia Commonwealth University(VCU), we have been able to recover at bipolar-news.org most of the past publications of the BNN that were housed at the old defunct bipolarnews.org site.  All of these are available by clicking on “Print Archives” listed at the bottom of the first or introductory pages of bipolar-news.org.  Clicking on the “Child Network” will soon lead (not yet as of 10/6/25) to a new informed consent from VCU at bipolar-news.org allowing access to the parent weekly ratings of the severity of symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, oppositional behavior, and mania of their child that can be printed out longitudinally to show to physicians for easy of recognition of illness course and response to treatment. Also available on this new VCU site will be the opportunity to assess the effectiveness of the supplement N-acetylcysteine (NAC) as an open add-on to treatment as usual under the supervision Ekaterina Stepanova and Sebastain Nair.

Thank you for your continued interest in the BNN, now available at www.bipolar-news.org.
